HAF: Still Here

As the Board Chair of the Humboldt Area Foundation, I want to assure you that our focus and mission remain unchanged ("Town Dandy," Nov. 18). The North Coast Region can count on us to be a philanthropic cornerstone, lending our support in areas of community and economic development where there is a good opportunity to affect the lives of individual community members and where we have value to add.

While there were some difficulties in the working relationship between Kathy Moxon and Peter Pennekamp, two highly regarded professionals, the HAF board is very interested in continuing the community work that Kathy Moxon has been doing, and Kathy and the HAF are talking about how that might look.
