Dandelions

are rioting
in the field across from the marina.

Yellow
voices
soak the air...

Over the channel,
pelicans
glide
and then fold
the long length of their wings.

They become missiles,
crashing
against the surface,
surprising the protesters...

capturing
the shiny, silver reflection
of a fish.
