Boo at the Zoo

From their press release:

Learn about slimy, slithery, creepy and crawly creatures through games, crafts, and animal encounters at this frightfully delightful family event. Activities include the Snake Maze, Spider Web Toss, Skull Identification, Scavenger Hunt, Slug Slime, Face Painting, and so much more! The Madagascar hissing cockroaches, tarantulas, snakes, and other zoo critters will be out and up close for a spooktacular experience.

The animals at the Zoo also get to celebrate Halloween with their very own surprise-stuffed Jack-o-Lanterns. The Spider monkeys, gibbons, peccaries, rhea, Red pandas, barnyard residents, yaks, cavies and screamers will all get to enjoy their very own pumpkin treats at scheduled times during the event. Watching the animals feast on their treats is an experience not to be missed!

Show off your wild wear and join the Costume Parade & Contest at 2 p.m. for a chance to win great Halloween-themed prizes. Prizes will be awarded to children and adults for Most Awesome Animal, Most Spooktacular, and Most Original costume. Then treat the family to cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn, snacks, and other twisted treats from the special Halloween menu at the Funky Monkey Café and other food stations located throughout the Zoo.
