Re: “Paddleboards and Privilege

"And if the 420 Games is committed to ending stigmatization of responsible pot-smoking athletes, what is it doing for high school, college and professional sports players — many of them minorities — who turn to marijuana as an accessible and effective pain reliever, putting their careers at risk?"

--> FIRST... We are educating them to NOT USE CANNABIS if they are in high school and underage... Then we are educating college and older athletes that there are many methods of ingesting cannabis that is more healthy than smoking it...
In terms of the persecution they face, look at our Facebook page... We have fought to push information out to the public to help end the war these athlete's face from using cannabis...

I think you should scroll our Facebook page posts and you'll possibly glean a better outlook on what we are doing...https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-420-Games/639774252770652

Happy to talk to you if you'd like!

Re: “Paddleboards and Privilege

Why do you think what we are doing lacks self awareness? I personally think you are wrongful making claims without enough information. The crowd in SF was a mixed bag, white, brown & black... And so was the golf tournament... All races were represented and in attendance... We are not focused on white or gentrified people... We are fighting FOR ALL PEOPLE.. This goes beyond cannabis and is a also a fight for ALL PEOPLE TO BE ALLOWED TO BE AND DO WHAT THEY WANT AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT HURT OTHERS.... For Gays, For Blacks & for cannabis users. No one should be subjected to prejudice and judgement for being who they are as long as it does not hurt other people.

I'd be happy to speak with you and give you more insight on our missions, but until you actually have a conversation with me about why I'm doing this I think you are wrong to be making statements like "it's like an expression of white privilege completely lacking self-awareness."

I'd appreciate if you would expand upon your reasoning for that statement?
