Great article and so timely. Thank you Ms. Cahill!
I support the use of the term cannabis rather than marijuana. "marijuana" has long had a stigma to it whereas "cannabis" is the term that is used in recent medical and scientific literature. Much of the battle to allow adult recreational and "all" medicinal use of this plant is against the irrational hype based in racial animosity towards hispanics and blacks back in the early 20th century. We don't need to perpetuate this unscientific and racist stigma... especially for people who don't take the time to educate themselves on the value of this amazing plant. It isn't a question of white washing. It's a question of neutralizing the conversation to "just the facts" rather than having it based on irrational fear of the unknown and belief in the lies that the government has put forth (at the same time as they get a patent for the medicinal value it has - Patent US 6630507 issued 2004 - TWELVE YEARS AGO). Guess they wanted to get there first.
Shame! That's our hard-earned tax money, guys! Not yours to waste!
Where did I miss that trimming is now against the law?
This has me disrespect the Sheriff's office even more than I did when they dropped the ball on investigating a drive-by shooting up here. Guess entrapping trimmers is deemed more important to Mills.
Thank you HSU students for your leadership and energy in this important effort!
Armored personnel carrier? really? guess they had to jump on the bandwagon with the other militarized PD's across the country... boyz and their toyz. What a waste and slap in the face to local residents.
Re: “Huffman, Thompson Blast Trump Admin for Leaving California out of Disaster Funding”
If they believe Trump's policies to be harmful to their constituents, why should they not object to them? "Fanatical" implies that the policies would benefit us and the congressmen are objecting simply for partisan reasons. I don't think that is the case.
