My common sense tells me if someone is arrested 67 miles away and brought to Eureka's jail and released in the wee hours of the morning because he's had his allotted time to sober up, although acting "weird". Yet released anyway with no way to get home. What in the hell do you think this person is going to do....... 1. vandalize, 2. vehicle theft ( to get home), 3. or do something worse? All three of them and more have happened. We need to change - Laws, policies and regulations in a lot of different areas. Mental Health, Release times from jail(s) and other areas I'm not going to get into right now. Oh and yes I am Fr. Eric Freed's twin sister!

God forbid one of your family members is murdered because of the late night/early morning release. Than we'll see if you still agree with the #@**# who is running the jail. There are so many laws, policies and regulations that need to be changed!!!
Sis, I am with you on this. Policies must be changed! I wish I could be at this open forum to hear and state a few of my own suggestions.
Re: “Former DA Candidate Moves On”
I also wish her the best in her new chapter. But at the same time I wish she would have stayed to seek justice for my twin brother - Fr. Eric Freed.
