How about dandelions? What do they tell us about the soil?
I'm surprised you didn't dig into Clean Green Certification for this article or interview owners of the Humboldt County Collective, who seem to rely on this certification:
I don't know if you realize how you come across in these posts….but your tone definitely does not convey that of someone who is interested in "working together for a better Humboldt County community. All of it, no one left out, no one branded and targeted for political attack and personal smears….etc.". Instead it sounds like somebody who is at war and has clearly decided who is us and who is them. I realize that you are probably frustrated with this process, as are many other people. But the inflammatory communication style may not be furthering your cause.
That's beautiful :-)
Thanks for another great article, Thaddeus!
Exposing the complexities around this issue will foster needed community dialogue, and hopefully lead towards reducing middle-of-the-night releases for individuals who are at a higher risk of getting into/creating dangerous situations.
Cafe Brio's chicken pot pie rocks! I have trouble ordering anything else on the menu if I happen to be there around lunchtime :-(
As a customer, I have watched people stealing shamelessly (and repeatedly) from the co-op for years and have found it really frustrating. Most co-op employees (understandably) were uncomfortable confronting shoplifters, so I'm glad they've hired some professional help. I feel pretty confident that the security guard was following protocol and that excessive force wasn't being used, but if it was I have no doubt that Co-op management will get to the bottom of it and address any issues they discover.
