To those whom much (power) is given, much is expected. A lesson taken to heart by those of us who hold CCW/CHP permits… but apparently not by those at the NCJ!
I believe someone posted this earlier, but for those of you that haven't seen it check out the video at the link below. We've been down this road in VA with the Roanoke Times. I'm not sure if the law has been changed at this time, but after the Roanoke Times stunt the VA Attorney General directed the VA State Police to no longer release info on CHP holders to the public. If it hasn't become law in VA yet, I'm sure it will be tackled in the state legislature soon. The North Coast Journal hack that wrote this article is just copying what others have already done-guess that’s easier than coming up with an original idea… UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES CNN Piece on VCDL and Roanoke Times Exposing VA CHP Data http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kUIPRFgRE8 Also an interesting video? Re: “Steamed at 'Burned'”
Funny, I didn't feel that blame was allocated only to Det. Wilcox. The article did point out breathtaking stupidity and ignorance on his part. Aren't Eurekans entitled to know how their police behave?
