I am deeply saddened about the passing of Wayne. I knew in Hermosa Beach Calif.In the late 60?S when he was attending Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Bch. Calif. I was in Grade school at the time and very young. He was the Rhythm Guitar Player in my Brothers Surf Band THE CHECKMATES. He was a profound influence on me in Playing guitar myself and I still play all those old surf songs to this day. I used to love to pick up his Fender Mustang and play it when he left it at my house. I recently re-connected with him and we talked about those days and my brother and the band.. He will be missed. I always respected him and looked up to him as Im sure all his students past and present did..

There is a picture of Wayne at http://www.bandmix.com/mr-pocket/ he is on the right holding that Guitar with the white shirt on.Picture was at the VFW hall in Gardena Calif about 1967. Rest in Peace my old friend...
