Jeez Louise, you guys need to lighten the heck up.
That was the meta part. Didn't you get that?
Interesting; a post which lauds the excercise of the First Amendment right of free expression, which ends by slamming another blog for excercising it's (their?) right to free expression under the First Amendment. How very meta.
What a shock - a convicted felon blaming everyone but himself! Markham operates mostly in Lake County and he has a pretty good reputation there as a defense attorney. In this case it is my understanding that had his client testified, the prosecution would have been allowed to present evidence that Mr. Rogers had stolen water to irrigate a marijuana garden and was responsible for a flier which contained among other unflattering phrases the term "Heil Simon." Keeping this guy off the stand was probably Markham's best option. What was this trial, three weeks? And the theory is that the jury was so outraged by one vulgar and highly offensive remark that they convicted him? Mr. Rogers will probably have some kind of mirror in prison, maybe if he looks long enough he can figure out who's fault it is that he was convicted.
Re: “Go, civil liberties!”
You know, I've never said this before, but you guys need to take another bong hit and mellow out a little.
