The one transportation issue that no one mentions, egads it would provide jobs to those who do want them, would not allow one redwood tree to fall on it's behalf, could provide the access to markets that our local producers are clamoring for....our trains?
Yes there are areas that need repair, yes that can be costly yes, there are probably many holes that could be drilled into any one idea. But this area had train service long before most of the people in this arguement were born. It did provide the access and left the roads alone.
So what is that childrens' book about the little train that could?
