Changing Tides and the childcare subsidy was the best thing that happened to my family in Humboldt. We were able to send our daughter to preschool and find quality childcare for our infant son while my husband worked full-time and I worked part-time. Without the subsidy, we would have been scrambling to pay the bills or ended up needed more assistance.
We now live in another county and I'm only able to attend pre-nursing classes part-time because of the lack of affordable childcare here. We miss Changing Tides' helpful staff and our beloved care providers.
