Way. Too. Cold.
At least the Bay is. Big Lagoon isn't horrible, but it's not exactly comfy.
Then there's the air temp that's hardly ever enough to make me want to get into cold water.
BUT...if temperature isn't a deterrent for someone, then swimming in the Bay or Big Lagoon would be lovely.
The bigger news that somehow isn't getting any press is that Alaska/Horizon are mileage partners with Delta. Accrue Alaska/Horizon miles by flying Delta and vice versa. Why is this such big news? Aside from the fact that I now have a better chance of getting enough miles to get a free ticket on Delta on an old account, it means that we can totally avoid the gigantic hell of SFO. Fly Alaska/Horizon through LAX and then Delta somewhere else. If Delta would stay here, we could also fly directly to Salt Lake City and then elsewhere. Anything at all to avoid connecting through SFO.
Delta is back. I flew Delta out of ACV in May to go to FL. Why Delta doesn't take out a full-page ad letting people know this is beyond me. Also, you can earn Alaska Air frequent flyer miles on Delta.
