I suspect that our perspective on mental illness is unbalanced. We focus on the effects of the chemical imbalance and seek to treat it with more chemicals. But I suspect that there is a great factor of life experience behind these chemical imbalances in combination with genetics. We should also be studying the social environment of the people as a potential factor in the imbalance and treat that before we just talk about drugs as the answer. It may sound foolish to some, but the power of love is greater than any drug.
Seems like a life-coach's first job should be to coach himself to get a better job than life-coach
