Re: “Wild Wood

Carving without professional instruction is not a smart idea. Just learning how to sharpen tools takes weeks. Not a smart idea to follow these instructions. Call 444-2717 and The Eureka Woodworking Association will help you out and get a professional to give you a start.

Re: “Wild Wood

The new Eureka Woodworking Association has free wood for members, classes on woodworking specializing in reclaimed wood, and more. Would have been great to be in your article. We are a branch of the American Woodturning Association and are just about to file for our 501 C. We have a work shop space for meetings and have had packed meetings the last two months. Please call 444-2717 for information. https://www.facebook.com/Eureka-Woodworkin…

Re: “No, I Like Eureka

And yes I have encouragement and permission from the Sanguine society to make more signs. Just with a different font.

Re: “No, I Like Eureka

I have been making signs that say I LIKE EUREKA at Humboldt Hardware for 6 months now. Mrs. Breslin came to me months ago trying to find out who made the stickers and get permission. She really did try. When no one said anything she used the idea. People need to be less extreme about this. There is no crazy group just people joining neighborhood watch. Everyone has different ways of doing things. But we need to look at facts and not blow something out of proportion.

Re: “Guest Post: View from the Occupation

Bank local, buy local, spend your time and energy on the next elections. Where are all these people when supervisors, mayors, congressmen etc. ask for public input at meetings? Protesters please include a real plan with all that energy and time.
