When we stole the state from the indians, part of it was giving them the right to harvest as they always have. They should contine to have that right. They lived here thousands of years and when whitey got here it was a basic ecotipia. 200 years of white guys and now the enviornment is ruined. Mass extinction is approaching. The indians knew what they wre doing. Americans are all about money and license fees.

I left 5 1/2 years ago and never looked back. There are no jobs in Humboldt. The price of housing is outragous. If you find a house it is likely built 40 years ago and is full of mold. Every thing is run by the good ol boys. I lived there 11 years and all I really miss is the bud and seeing great concerts in small venues. What is there to do to make enough money to raise a family there? A lot of the problems I had there were a state problem. 9% sales tax. Which you guys raised there. Gas at 60 cents a gallon more than it should be. Car registation etc. If California gets its act together and legalizes mj Humboldt could be the new Napa Valley. Until that time, I'll just have to fondly remember the good times.
