I have a question for those who have left comments advising others to get out while they can. And this is going to sound snarky, but I don't really mean it that way, I really do want to know. If you got out on purpose, left with no desire to return, how is it that you discovered this story in a small-town weekly in a place you don't like, within a day of its publication? That would seem to indicate some degree of attentiveness to the Humboldt situation even after you've left. So why do you continue to read the local papers? What's the connection for you? (The story may be in print, but I still have a hundred unanswered questions in my head, and these comments have raised question #101...)
Outstanding choice. (Actually, two of them. Burns up, Abate down.)
