Typical complaint from a typical city with a crumbling economy, blame walmart. Hey they just moved in but lets blame them for all the woes. Walmart in fact is an oasis in an economy where everything is going under. Dont blame the savior as the cause. If it werent for the aldi, walmart, dollar trees of the country you would see so many families in despair who cannot even afford a ten dollar bottle of laundry soap without taking food out of their mouths. Its a shame so many feel above the walmart shopper because you arent.
Wow, well Im glad I did some research into Eureka before pulling up stakes in NY for greener pastures hah. Sounds like its dead Jim. While we too in ny have lost several malls to the ever expanding sign language for toddlers, skatepark, libraries that have taken them over we do have one shining good point "Destiny USA" a mall of malls of sorts. Dont ask me how they pull it off with an economy in the dumps high unemployment and mostly upscale shoppes but they do it. About the only thing left of culture in Syracuse other then the university. Anyways, I surely would not move to a city that hasnt even a fuctioning mall thanks for your article.
