@Steve Lewis......what political "opponent" did NCJ censor? Also what small minority viewpoint do they represent? Back up your accusations with facts.
Thanks Judy for your calm and intelligent response to this matter. I do not think you are coming across as a "cop hater"...like so many of those who work with cop watch, or PARC....that is a relief. I also notice that some of these responses are from those that think the Police are above the law....not the case. We expect them to behave in a respectful and honorable nature....avoiding this "cocky"...and rude behavior discussed in this article. Wearing their uniform, does not give them the right to ignore the rights of US citizens....and it does not give them the right to treat us with disrespect. I am not sure what the motive was for your reporter to show such a passionate interest in this criminal case....or the bags of pot.....I am hoping it was just not to "challenge" the police..as that would seem petty to me. If the police did treat her with a rude and disrespectful nature, they should "man up" and apologize.....
Hey guys, there has to be a way to keep this crap off some of these threads....why can't you block this trash? You have a very serious and sad article here..and it is ruined from this spam.....figure something out guys.....maintain a professional site...
Verbena and Decker, are just hijacking this article to further their worn out fight with the "oppressor"....There were some valid points brought up in this story.....Cops should be nicer....... and not assume that wearing that uniform, give's them any magical powers.
Poor Verbena...if we do not talk about what she wants..then she resorts to her classic name calling....now the Journal is "fluff, hipster"....he he ....she is such a joke!
@Ned.....you sound like a typical tenant in some of Floyd's buildings. He may not be a perfect landlord, but he kept many of you in a house or an apartment, when no one else in their right mind would have rented to you.
I agree with Steve's post above....the shooter was gun happy..of course the drunk, was in the wrong place...he obviously felt he really was in his house.....not in a house to rob, or kill....common sense, could have figured that out, upon initial confrontation.....those three, should have waited out the police...the man's car was crashed.his dog was in the house...he was stupid ass drunk...not a man on a mission...
