I served with Jeff in the Marines as an officer. I brought to the attention of the command that he had an integrity problem. I was ignored at first then the command began to look at me as if I was the one that was lying. The Marine Corps loves their war heroes and that is exactly how Jeff was able to do as well as he did: by portraying himself as a war hero. He would sit around the barracks and tell the Lts stories of his time in Vietnam and how he got wounded in action. The prior enlisted Marines knew something was wrong but no one would listen to use. I am glad that is is over now.
