That is why I did not pledge to fund Planned Parenthood, I chose to hold a sign and pray.
No, not surprised. And truly I do appreciate much of what PP offers member of the community, and their intention and ability to do so at sliding fee rates - which of course I acknowledge costs money. Most of their funding comes from insurance providers and grants. I just thought it ironic that they used the prayer protest to raise funds. The campaigners held signs and prayed to the God of their understanding - Planned Parenthood asked their supporters to put their money where there mouth is - BECAUSE of the sign holders.
Still, I do also acknowledge that some of those funds will go to truly helpful services - and some will go to harm the smallest and weakest among us.
