Wonderfully written article...I remember when this happened and how dealing with the stress of the fire by itself was so difficult.
I appreciate your honesty. I wonder if this touches upon the issue of how we as a community take care of one another when accidents occur. The fire was not deliberate and not due to incredible stupidity. Does someone who is already paying taxes for community services then have to pay, what seems like to me, a very large bill. And how would the average person do that? I don't know what the answer is but I am glad no one died, only grass burned, you had renters insurance and enough money for a lawyer.
Oh my gosh this article makes me want to jump in the bay and give it a try.
