Lost cause Brewery has outgrown Humboldt County. Their support of the Caltrans RIP(Richardson Grove Improvement Project) displayed this fact, in selling out the county to save a nickle a twelve pack on shipping up empty bottles. Now they wish to screw over local labor unions. They have "Lost" touch with the local community. I remember when their beer wasn't so mass-produced that it actually tasted good. Now it tastes like your run of the mill pseudo microbrewers, such as Sam Adams. Sad to see a local business take that kind of stance on these local issues. But like I said, they have gotten too big...
I love it! Thanks Joel!
Good to hear! I love RCBC! And they love Humboldt! Can't wait for the new location!
You elected that drunk. Yes, you did NCJ! Remember witholding Sundberg's arrest information from your readers? The night before the election when old Sunny boy got a Dewey?
As for Rex, don't even get me started Eureka...
Wow! Thanks Heidi! Great article!
Many thanks to Jen Savage for her work :)
The "Mischief Lab" is no longer a non-profit Dream Maker Project of the Ink People. It is a business front owned by Mark W. Switzer at 1041 F. Street in Arcata.
Please visit the newly formed group "Circus of the Elements(A Dream Maker Project of the Ink People)" on Facebook(http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/400580239955655/), composed of prior "Mischief Lab" performers and crew as well as new members! Risen from the ashes like a Phoenix!
Upcoming "Circus of the Elements" fire shows include "Fire Fusion 4/20" at the Mateel, "Humboldt Arts Festival" in Arcata and "The Humboldt Made Fair" in Eureka.
We are also heavily involved with local fundraisers such as the recent "Trinidad Skate Park Fundraiser" and the "The benefit for the McCabe family" at the Bayside Grange.
Upcoming fundraising events include "BelFire A Gathering of Love, Health, Gratitude & Abundance In support of Miss Lori" at the Metz's in SoHum ranch on April 28th and "EPIC Spring Gala featuring Vagabond Opera and Fishtank Ensemble" on April 14th at the Arcata Community Center. Come support non-profit local causes by enjoying local non-profit arts and performances!
Please check the calender in the NCJ for more info on these events. They are also easily found on Facebook.
Thanks for the great article Tisha! Lovin' you Shaye!
Funny, the caricature drawing depicts local candidate Andy Caffrey along with four other candidates. Then it goes on about how most of the candidates are from down south, way down south of here. Yet Andy was given absolutely no coverage and he is a local candidate. Is the NCJ biased against local candidates? Are their special interests in representing out of area candidates? I wonder if Andy can file a lawsuit against the NCJ for misrepresenting his likeness?
