Re: “Stoned Love

I totally agree my husband went through that phase of growing I never got involved cause I hate the industry and think it is morally wrong. So much ugliness so many thieves con artists looking to make fast money. I could write a book and the end well the battle is still not over with the criminals that it brought into his life the jury is still out if he will live through the mistakes hes made cause each year it got darker and he smokes so he was not able to see how evil the people were that he was getting involved with. We have been in and out of court with gang members who are sill trying to take everything he has. I saw it coming and tried to warn him as I have saw this industry all my life. Lots of innocent lives lost or ruined.

Re: “Stoned Love

Sorry, Martin Anderson, for not really giving a shit about the author's love life. Everybody's got stories. The author is also a journalist in Humboldt, however, and I do really give a shit about the health of the environment in which I live. So having just read this editorial from this journalist, in which she rallies over concern for the environment, I can't help but speak some contempt toward her own decision to print a pre-fabricated PR piece for the logging industry. That's my two cents.

Re: “Stoned Love

What a moving article. It speaks to one of a countless and growing number of polarities our society is struggling to reconcile.

As for your comment, "Double Standard Alert": way to minimize the positive impact of an article, just because you were dissatisfied with an entirely different, earlier article of hers. That accomplishes so much.

Re: “Stoned Love

Why wasn't Linda even a tenth as critical of her face to face encounter with a logging representative in her Red Gold and Green Washing article? Her pseudo expose into the environmental impacts of logging in this county was painfully lacking.

Re: “Interview with a Ganjier

I shudder to imagine what our world will look like once pot is legalized and the corporations take over.
One thing for sure, you can kiss 'organic' good bye.....and reasonable prices.
No world is ever enriched when big business takes over....ever.

Great column this week, Grant! Kevin Jodrey wrote an article recently on CBDs as well…
