F STREET PHOTO GALLER at SWANLUND'S = F STREET FOTO GALLERY
How about giving credit to the featured artist for mckinleyville art night???
Is someone playing a movie about the 64 flood?
It's wonderful that a thriving artistic community is developing in McKinleyville. I moved there in 1975 when it was not-so-affectionately deemed "Oklahoma By the Sea." Culture there at the time was mainly remnants of a dying timber industry. Sewage from failed septic systems flowed through ditches along Central Avenue. McKinley's most prominent feature was the world's tallest phony pole. Education was frowned upon and considered a sell-out to city-slicker elites.
Back then McKinleyville seemed like a Euraka suburb. Now it seems like an Arcata suburb, which is a huge improvement.
My favorite holdover from those days is that "Horses have the Right of Way."
Fire Arts Center is located at 520 SOUTH G STREET; not the above address!
Great artwork. McKinleyville has come a long way since it was aptly named "Oklahoma By the Sea."
I think it's great that Mckinleyville is starting to do this. I hope it takes off.
First Saturday Night Arts Alive! Nov. 1, 6-9 p.m.
Always enjoy this event.
Don't miss Sierra Martin's work at 3 Foods Cafe! We're at 835 J Street - right behind the Coop.
Am I wrong or should the Arts Alive! date read March 01, 2014 not February?
come out to last Trinidad Art Night..16 venues..9 musical acts
Last Art Night this year..19 venues...9 musical acts...not bad for such a small place...no place like it...
When are you going to get this weekend's info up? Thanks.
Jesuchristo. That's the second time we've gotten that wrong this week.
Ummm, I'm fairly certain that arts Alive is Saturday June 6, 6-9 pm.
The Morris Graves rocks! Northwest Eye, the miniatures upstairs, flaming sculptures aaand whisky, cake, and live music.
