sounds fascinating! I can hardly wait to see these works
What a great time! Fun old time silent movies - great sound effects and music. Pretty awesome group of young musicians - very profession job!
More Specific Info about these Two Plays: NPA's Young Actors Guild presents two very different plays: Pygmalion and Springs Awakenings - this weekend only at Gist Hall at HSU in Arcata -Thursday Jan 23rd through Sunday night. Pygmalion/My Fair Lady (a musical adaptation that takes place in 1930s Manhattan) starts at 5:30 each night with a matinee Sunday at 1pm and is for general audiences and is lively and lovely with comedy, song and dance, including aerial dancing. Springs Awakening, recommended for mature audiences, is a powerfully intense drama about youth and parents, sexuality and communication, life and choices and was created in the late 1890s and first produced in 1906. Springs Awakening plays at 8pm each night and there is a matinee on Saturday January 25th at 1pm. These are both full length plays and are ticketed separately, tickets will likely be available at the door but are also available in advance at Wildberries Market and Brown Bag Ticketing online. Thank you for supporting our Young Actors Guild of the Northcoast Preparatory and Performing Arts Academy Charter High School in Arcata!

Come and enjoy John Wesa's studio and see his work in motion. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with the wood stove burning and John's famous hot apple cider steaming on top of the wood stove. There are goodies to munch on while taking in the beauty of the studio and the creative and well known work of the years that John has produced for our enjoyment.
Also tickets at the door!
Looking forward to this event.
Packed house and some good laughs. Hope Cheryl White comes back soon!
This event is only on Sunday the 17TH, not Sunday until Monday.
EXCELLENT OUTREACH COMMUNITY PROGRAM AND VOLUNTEERS!
I asked them if they knew "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke and they said they had never played it but they would work on it during the break. They came back for the next set and Played It! Very Well. "In Da Gadda Da Vida" next? please, please........

Really well done. Clean design with photography by E. Christian Wisner.
Voted most popular day for the Poh-Pohs to cash in on drunk in public government money. I was a half block away from the Plaza and yelled across the street to my friend and was instantly in handcuffs.
"This guy's drunk" they said.
No test or anything.
Wasn't even that drunk. Had been shucking oysters for 6 hours and only had a couple beers.
Check yourself. You've been warned.
It's a great event though. Leave your claustrophobia at home and hone your best crowd navigational skills.
