935 haikus

Black snake, yellow cake

Nine hundred and thirty five:

Forked tongue, wintry eyes.

Statesmen quake, laws break:

Four hundred and thirty five!

Shock and Awe of March.

Sands shake, Divine Strake,

Nine hundred and thirty five:

Car bomb, poors' air force.

Snow flake in foul lake,

Nine hundred and thirty five:

Baghdad sewage veiled.

Hooded sheikhs' heart break

Nine hundred and thirty five:

The drumroll of spring.

Dread mistake, no brake.

Nine hundred and thirty five

Lies mine our dark way.
