This recipe is a keeper! I made it to take to a bridal shower potluck (how appropriate) and it was delicious! I prepared the components the night before — barley and sauteed cabbage, balsamic strawberries and yogurt dressing — but since I feared the strawberries would tint everything pink if I assembled the dish so far ahead of time, I kept them separate until about an hour before serving. It worked beautifully and received several compliments. My only reservation about this dish is its unusual color combination: lime-green cabbage, red-and-pink strawberries and dark green basil. However it’s really no problem if you’re serving to an adventuresome crowd.
