CPR RECERTIFICATION & CHALLENGES. With DebraNell Walker, certified American Red Cross instructor, through the HSU Regional Training Institute, Community Disaster Preparedness. Several 1 1/2 hour CPR recertification sessions will be held on Wed., June 13 at Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, 921 W. Waterfront Dr., Eureka. 8:30 a.m.: Adult CPR, $55. 10 a.m.: Adult Child Infant CPR, $55. 11:30 a.m.: Professional Rescuer CPR, $90. 1 p.m.: Adult CPR (repeat), $55. 2:30 p.m.: Adult Child Infant (repeat), $55. CERTIFICATE IN FACULTY PREPARATION. Teaching in Higher Education. Do you want to teach in higher education? This series of online courses introduces prospective and current faculty to the roles and responsibilities of teaching in higher education and specifically addresses teaching, learning and technology issues in the college classroom. The capstone course is an apprentice teaching experience arranged by the candidate, during which the candidate is mentored by a senior faculty member. This is a three-semester, 12-unit certificate program that starts June 25.
