Free Airplane Rides. Chapter 1418 of Experimental Aircraft Association hosts a Young Eagles Rally at the Rohnerville Airport in Fortuna. The local chapter has flown over 170 kids in the last several Young Eagles events. Young people ages 8-17 will be provided a free airplane ride ( weather permitting ) in a program to interest youth in aviation. Registration for the parents and participants will be from noon to 3 PM. There will be a lunch, flying videos and airplanes on display.

Pilots will demonstrate to the participants how airplanes function and the steps to become a pilot. Following the flight each young person will receive a certificate making him or her a Young Eagle. For more information call Steve at 845-6813.
