Wiz Khalifa (hip-hop)
What:
Meet Wiz Khalifa. He’s a phenom. An independent hip-hop artist from Philly who sold out 47 out of 49 on his recent tour. Many of these sold out well in advance. These sort of things are unheard of for an act who left the major label system in 2009, and since has used social networking almost exclusively to promote himself to his fans. So much so, that last months Twitter announcement of the impending release of his latest mixtape project, Kush & Orange Juice, became a trending topic for the next 2 days. Again, no big marketing her.
