Arts and Crafts, Great food, Live Music, Poetry readings, and more!

Studio 299 and the Trinity County Arts Council are sponsoring the first annual Wild and Scenic Arts Festival on the Trinity. This one-day event will be held on Sunday, July 6th at the Strawhouse in Big Flat, Trinity County. Booth spaces are available for artists, craftspersons, massage, face painting, and interactive children's art. Each space is 10' x 10' and rents for $40. Individuals may share a booth and arts organizations are encouraged to participate.

Four workshops are scheduled throughout the day beginning at 8 am with bird watching facilitated by Pablo from Arcata. At 10 am, Hugh Tinling will lead a Tai Chi workshop. Evelyn Ward will present a watercolor workshop at noon, and Dan Levinson will facilitate a poetry writing session at 2 pm. Each workshop lasts one hour and is suitable for beginners or intermediates. Fees are $7 per workshop, or $25 for all four.

An open mic poetry reading and live music with the Don Hall and friends Band is scheduled for 6 pm.
