What:
During the summer of 2009, the Northcoast Regional Land Trust constructed a series of slough channels and ponds in an area historically dominated by marshes. Now, to finish the project, we need to reintroduce native plants to the project site. From March 31 through April 15, the Land Trust plants over 46,000 native wetland plants at our Freshwater Farms Reserve project site. There is standing water and saturated wetland soils, so rubber boots are the best bet for comfort. Gardening gloves, water and snacks are also recommended. Portable restrooms are available within walking distance. Children of all ages with adult supervision welcome. This event is free. Please RSVP.
