Water Conservation

Living Earth Landscapes invites the public to a free presentation about garden water conservation techniques on Saturday, July 10 from 12 to 1 p.m. at its nursery and water garden center located at 5307 Boyd Road (next to Three G’s Hay and Grain) in Arcata. Topics will include mulching, irrigation, soil amending, and more. Learn about different types of mulch and how use it effectively for your situation, how to irrigate properly to avoid runoff and develop good root health, and how organic matter added to the soil aids in water retention.
