The North Coast Stand Down will be held this weekend October 1-3rd 2010 at the Ferndale Fair Grounds. The purpose of the North Coast Stand Down is to reach out to local veterans and their families to receive medical attention, clothing and other supplies. If you know a vet or would like to volunteer, you can get more information @ www.northcoaststanddown.org or call 707-826-6272. We are accepting donations for mostly men’s clothing including denim, shoes, warm coats, sweaters, hoodies, etc. We also need volunteers to help with set up and tear down, or to help in the various areas (Veterinary doctors, barbers/hair stylists, Doctors, retail experts, food servers, etc.) Vets are encouraged to register early @ www.northcoaststanddown.org . This event is free to all registered vet’s and their families.
