On Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m., the Humboldt Vegetarian Society will host a veganThanksgiving potluck at the Humboldt Area Foundation Community Center, 373 Indianola Roadin Bayside. Entertainment will be provided by local singer-songwriter Josephine Johnson.“We hope to provide a gentle alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving meal for the area’svegans and vegetarians, while also showing some curious omnivores how delicious a turkey-freeholiday meal can be,” explained Tamara McFarland, one of the group’s founding members.This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Attendees should bring one or two vegandishes to share, as well as their own plates, cups, and utensils.
