What:
The North Coast Repertory Theatre and the Eureka Theatre present the 2010 Vampire Film Festival and Masquerade Ball on October 23 at the Eureka Theatre. Local vampire enthusiasts are encouraged to dress as their favorite member of vampire mythology and come uncover a story of intrigue as Humboldt’s vampire court elects a leader. Will Humboldt be ruled by an all-powerful vampire master and his minions or will it be ruled by the vampire princess and her court of nobles? Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Films, for all ages, start at 6pm with Bela Lugosi’s Dracula. Love at First Bite will be shown at 7:45. Tickets for the films are $10. The Masquerade Ball, for ages 18 and older, begins at 9:30pm and includes dancing, food and a full bar; tickets are $30. Tickets for both the films and the Ball are $35. Tickets are available at the door at the Eureka Theatre or at Annex 39, next to the Eureka Theatre. Mortals are welcome. The Bloodmobile will be on site.
NCRT’s Artistic Director Michael Thomas explains that this event is a fundraiser for the Theatre. “All proceeds will go to help pay the cost of replacing our antiquated and failing stage lighting equipment. We need help. So please sharpen your teeth and venture out to the land of the undead.” For more information please call 442-NCRT or visit www.ncrt.net.
