Tri-County Independent Living Holiday Open House & Volunteer Appreciation

What:

Tri-County Independent Living (TCIL) will hold its Season’s Greetings Open House & Volunteer Thanks event from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 8 at its offices located at 2822 Harris Street in Eureka. The agency would like to invite its consumers, dedicated volunteers, and anyone else interested in TCIL services and programs to attend, meet the staff, enjoy some free refreshments and celebrate the holidays.

Tri-County Independent Living has served the estimated 32,000 people living with disabilities in Humboldt, Trinity and Del Norte Counties since 1978. The non-profit agency offers information and referral, individual and systems change advocacy, assistive technology assistance, independent living skills training, peer support, and education and outreach.  TCIL also has an Assistive Technology Loan Program, Computers for People Program, Residential Wheelchair Ramp Construction Program and a new Community Transitions Program (CCT).  The CCT is intended for those who receive Medi-Cal, have lived in a Medi-Cal paid inpatient facility for at least three months, and who want to return to their own homes in the community.
