What:
The Fortuna Concert Series celebrates the opening of its 20 season on Saturday, September 11. Opening night concert will feature The Treble Making Nuns, a pllayful quarter of women who hail from Tuolumne County, California. They were “born” in April of 1999, following a local theater production of The Sound of Music, and have been making the “hills come alive” ever since. Bringing music into lives that otherwise would be boring, the Nuns have performed throughout California. They are all professional career women who enjoy the harmony and uniqueness of their vocal blend and friendship.
The Nuns have been hailed as a wonderfully original group with the power to capture the audience—a refreshing experience.
An Opening Night Gala Champagne Reception will be held at 7:15 pm prior to the concert at the Fortuna Monday Club, 610 Main Street in Fortuna. Concert time is 8:00 pm. Ticket prices for the Gala are $12 for all seats. Tickets are available at Green’s Fortuna Pharmacy in Fortuna, Fortuna Music Mart in Fortuna and Eureka; Becker’s Insurance Agency in Ferndale, Berliner’s Cornucopia in Eureka and at the door.
