North Coast Parents is sponsoring a Redwood Roots Farm Tour in Bayside on Thursday, July 16 from 10:00 am to noon. The farm is located off of Jacoby Creek Road, just past the Humboldt Universalist Unitarian Fellowship.

Parents and their babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children are invited to this fun-packed tour of this diverse market garden farm that has been providing the community with fresh produce, flowers and herbs since 1998. The Farm aims to cultivate stronger connections between people, their food and the natural environment. Please RSVP to Stella at scswen@yahoo.com.

Sponsoring the outing is North Coast Parents (NCP), a local grassroots organization that was created 20 years ago to serve as a support group for parents of babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children. NCP offers activities, small play groups, field trips, and meetings in safe, nurturing environments that provide socialization for young children and their parents. Also offered is a babysitting co-op, parents’ night out events and meals to new parents. A monthly newsletter listing NCP activities and family-oriented community events is sent to members.
