The Humboldt County Library in Eureka hosts a two day Storytelling Event on Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday September 10. Both programs begin at 6:30 PM and feature the headliners at the Storytelling Festival By the Sea that will be held at Patrick’s Point State Park on September 12 and 13.
On Tuesday evening, Michael Parent shares songs and stories. Michael grew up in Maine, surrounded by his French-Canadian family and speaking both French and English at home. He calls on this heritage in many of his original stories.
On Wednesday evening, Beth Horner will be sharing songs and stories. Her repertoire includes a wide variety of folk, literary, traditional and original tales from around the world.
These programs are sponsored by First 5 Humboldt and are guaranteed to be a real treat for the whole family.
These events are free and all ages are welcome. The Library’s programs and services are accessible to persons with disabilities. Please let us know if you require assistance.
