What:
It’s time to shake the winter blues and come to the 5th annual Spring Fever Festival at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds April 24 and 25, 2010.
Event Hours are Sat 10-5 and Sun 10-4. Join us in our tropical paradise and welcome spring by wearing your best (or worst!) Hawaiian shirt or MuuMuu!
Humboldt Candles will be sponsoring the festival by offering a free locally made soy candle to the first 1000 adults to attend.
Live music will be on stage both days including *2 Car Garage, The Pilot Rock Ramblers, Clouds on Mountain, Joe Garceau * and Dale Winget.
Dove’s Catering will serve fresh soups, sandwiches, wraps and desserts. Stop by for lunch after the Rhododendron Parade!
Have your face painted and get your picture taken in the photo booth in support of Eureka High School student led fundraisers.
Free door prizes donated by the participating artists will be given away hourly. You must be present to win!
Again the invitation goes out to all Rhododendron Parade participants to bring their floats and entries to the Midway after the parade. This will give the public the opportunity to view all the hard work and enthusiasm that went into the creation of each design more closely. Bragging and
showboating encouraged! Participating groups and individuals can also offer information or free gifts to the public about their business, club or hobby. Please no merchandise sales.
Admission 1.00, Children and Seniors free.
Free admission to view parade entries on the midway or to participate in the 4-H clubs Science, Engineering and Technology Expo Saturday featuring geo caching, and text messaging competitions, a petting zoo, tractor exhibit and demonstrations in the Home Economics and Turf Club buildings.
The Spring Fever Festival is organized by Alice Krause, founder of Redwood Empire Artists, Crafters and Handworkers (REACH) to provide an indoor opportunity for local artisans to sell their wares to the public. Over 50 booths of quality handcrafted items will be offered. Help support these local micro businesses by buying your Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation gifts early!
Come join us for a great time!
