This medium difficulty, 5-mile hike ascends from prairie and creekside into old redwood forest featuring fantastic goose pens and cathedral groves amid rich understory, including blooming native rhododendron. Return down old road through huge redwoods. Mostly shaded. Bring liquids, lunch/snack, camera, wear layers and good footwear.
