Sierra Club Centerville Beach Hike

What:

On Saturday, Feb. 19, North Group Sierra Club is sponsoring a free public hike to Centerville Beach/Mouth of Eel River. This 11-mile, medium-difficulty hike begins at Centerville Beach County Park parking lot and follows beach northerly between dunes and tide line. As Eel River looms into view, meadows and marshlands exhibit abundant wild flora, occasional wildlife, and huge redwood driftwood stumps. Carpools meet Herrick Park & Ride lot off Hwy 101 at 9 a.m. or at beach 9:45 a.m. Call leader Xandra for additional information at (707) 441-0702. Rain cancels.
