Throughout the month of July all local Safeway stores will be collecting food donations for the Safeway Summer Food Drive; donated food be given to Food for People, the Food Bank for Humboldt County. Help feed hungry families, seniors, and children in your community by dropping a non-perishable food donation in any of the bins located at your nearest Safeway. Food for People has seen a 25%-30% increase in demand for food assistance within the last year, making the donations of generous community members as important as ever.
