Rutabaga Royal Repast

What:

Kinetic Universe will be hosting the Rutabaga Royal Repast, an evening of fine dining and cabaret style entertainment, Saturday, March 13, at Oberon Grill in Eureka. This event will benefit the Ferndale Kinetic Museum and the 42nd annual Kinetic Grand Championship, set for Memorial Day Weekend.

“It’s going to be a beautiful night,” says 2007 Rutabaga Queen Emma the EmChantress. “Oberon is developing a delicious, Kinetic-themed menu, and of course we’ll have Kinetic Kabaret performances. All of us at Kinetic Universe are working hard preparing for the Kinetic Grand Championship in May, but we always make time for a party. That’s what Kinetics is about.”
Kinetic Queens, Princesses, racers and assorted VIPs will be on hand mixing and mingling with Kinetic supporters. Entertainment will include a variety of glorious acts including the unique musical styling of Kinetic Seer Duane Flatmo and close-up magic from Shantaram the Magician.

In an effort to keep this elegant evening accessible to all in the Kinetic family, there will be three different tiers of enjoyment at the Rutabaga Royal Repast: ”Pit Crew Prime,” a $20 seat at Oberon’s historic bar, with snacks and beer or wine, and a view of the entertainment; “Racer’s Glory,” a $40 seat, which includes a three course meal from Oberon’s Kinetic Menu, along with the floor show; and “Regal Revelers,” a $100 seat upstairs in Oberon’s fabled Ruby Room, which includes a five course menu with a flight of wines, and some special attention from the Rutabaga Royalty.

“We’ll be there with bells on,” Queen Emma promises. “And sequins and feathers and various fake furs, in addition to the bells.”
Advance reservations and ticket purchase for the Saturday, March 13, Rutabaga Royal Repast is required by calling Oberon at 443-3663. For more information, visit www.kineticgrandchampionship.com.
