Redwood Coast Children’s Chorus
What:
The Redwood Coast Children’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus and director, Kathe Lyth, invite the good people of Humboldt County to join them at Accident Gallery in Old Town Eureka on November 13th for an evening of beautiful music and epicurean delights. Lyth will perform on the Celtic Harp. The Concert Chorus and Women’s Chorus will sing. Proceeds from the evening will help to offset costs for the Chorus’s 10th World Harmony Gathering. Additionally, the children of the chorus have elected to donate a portion of the proceeds to CASA of Humboldt.
“This evening is about kids helping kids, “ explains Lyth. “The Redwood Coast Children’s Chorus is founded upon the belief that music is a universal language - one which can bridge social and cultural barriers. This summer our chorus will travel to South Dakota to share music with the children and families of at least three Native American tribes. Those who come to support us at Accident Gallery on November 13th will help us realize this journey, but also help us to help children locally as a portion of the proceeds will go to CASA.”
The Redwood Coast Children’s Chorus is still accepting new members for all of its chorus levels, including the Women’s Chorus. Come hear us making music on the 13th, while dining and sipping on delightful food and beverages. Learn more about this summer’s World Harmony Gathering to South Dakota. Joining the chorus could be one of the more musically and personally rewarding experiences you and your children can have!
