Join Redwood Region Audubon Society on Friday, Dec. 10 for a Potluck and Christmas Bird Count Brush-up Session. Naturalist David Fix shows slides of “The Birds of Winter behind the Redwood Curtain,” featuring both expected birds and historical Count rarities. Local counts are scheduled between December 18 and January 3. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the lecture at 7:30 p.m. Bring a dish to share and mug; drinks and place settings provided. Location is the Humboldt County Office of Education at Myrtle and West Avenues in Eureka.
