Poisoned Waters

What:

The Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee is showing “Poisoned Waters” on Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at Democratic Headquarters, 129 Fifth St. in Eureka.  Everyone is welcome.  This film was broadcast last month on ”Frontline” and addresses the perilous condition of the nation’s waterways three decades after the Clean Water Act, examining in particular the Chesapeake Bay and Puget Sound.  “Poisoned Waters” explores the rising hazards to human health and the ecosystem and why it’s so hard to keep our waters clean. Running time is two hours and viewers are invited to stay for a discussion after.  There is no admission charge but donations are always appreciated.
