The Eureka Chamber Music Series presents the Parker String Quartet on Friday, November 5, 2010, 7:30pm, at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 716 South Avenue, Eureka.One of today’s most dynamic and exciting young ensembles on the rise, winners of top honors at both the Concert Artists Guild International and Bordeaux International String Quartet Competitions in 2005, the Parker Quartet charms and delights audiences and critics around the world with its impassioned interpretations and unique voice. The Quartet is in its second season as Quartet-in-Residence with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. They are also the first-ever Artists-in-Residence with Minnesota Public Radio(MPR) and American Public Media(APM).They will perform Quartets of Haydn, Op. 74, No. 3 in G minor, “The Rider”; Ligeti, No. 1, “Metamorphoses Nocturnes”; and Beethoven, Op. 131 in C-sharp minor.A “Meet the Artists” reception will follow the performance.Donations; Adults  $30,  Students  $5.
